EVA FISCHER-KELLER (1914-2005)
GENERATION 2
COLOUR AND LIGHT
My name is Alexa Young
Born in Munich-Schwabing, Eva painted and drew since early childhood under the guidance of her father Alexander. From 1942 to 1945 she studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts under professors Mayrshöfer, Kaspar and Gött.
The Mediterranean light becomes a central motif on many trips. Eva prefers a light palette in oils. Despite the romance, her pictures always appear fresh and moving. A sensitive delicacy is sometimes surprising in her watercolors. The artist mostly devotes her paintings to nature, landscapes and still lifes.
All of her works radiate poetry and faith in life, because the painter wants to convey joy and optimism. In Eva's works we can follow the evolution of her style from the 1950s to the 2000s. The way Eva painted was also her personality. She was the center of our family because of her gentleness.
