4 GENERATIONS OF . ART

The works show how the techniques and styles as well as the diversity of the motifs have developed over the generations. Alexander painted and drew very classically and close to nature. His daughter Eva creates a harmony of color and light through her light, yet dynamic painting style. The love for nature inherited from the father remains, but the motifs are reproduced much happier and more “modern”. In Eva's works we can follow the development of her style from the 1950s to the 2000s. From a very soft to a stronger reproduction and technique, but never abandoning the gentleness. Eva's daughter and Alexander's granddaughter Sybille came to painting through fashion and graphics. This basis can still be seen today in her paintings and drawings, many of them are commissioned works. More versatile in her motifs, more precise, more figurative and even more “modern” – but never losing touch with the reality of nature. Eva's grandson Nikolas curates the works of the three generations, organises exhibitions and collaborates with publishers and galleries. He continues the artistic story through photography.
